1.  even if i don’t look like one, i’m a grandmother, and it gives me great pleasure to be with and to indulge my grandson

2.  i’ve always moved places for someone other than me, until now

3.  i keep my friends for life

4.  my Lab, Rumer, is my favorite dog

5.  skiing is the activity i enjoy the most and i started at age 11 at a winter YMCA camp in connecticut

6.  i was born in texas, but i’m  a New Englander who’s been transplanted into the south.  7 years in vermont were some of the best in my life, though–my heart remains there

7.  i love music of a variety of genres, especially that which fits into more than one genre and even better, is performed by the songwriter

8.  i’m an artist (printmaker, paper crafts, mixed media),  dabble in writing, and take photographs nearly every day

9.  the best place i ever went swimming was in a kettle pond at cape cod

10.  i had 3 babies with natural childbirth, and have home-delivered more than 30 babies

11.  i look awful in all hats except berets, and not that great in a beret

12.  i try to balance my natural cynicism with unbridled idealism and devotion to ethics, fairness, justice, peace, love, harmony, joy, and aesthetics

13.  i read lots of books, living in them at the time, but afterwards, often can’t recall the plot.  pure escapism!

14.   i’ve been divorced longer than i was married

15.  solitude is as necessary for me as being with my friends and family

16.  i think my children are amazing people and they do me proud

17.  games involving a ball defeat me

18.  my 86 year old mom beats me in scrabble almost every time

19.  i’m not so good with authority figures, and truly, would not want the job of being my manager

20.  nature and the natural world are my favorite surroundings, especially trees and the sky

21.  being a night owl is my nature, but i always have jobs that start at 7 AM

22.   our president makes me proud and happy

23.  there’s a really peaceful place inside me, and i can’t always get there, but i try to be ready for it at all times

24.  in high school, my father was the guidance counselor, as if he didn’t guide me enough at home

25.  i think that what defines and refines us are the mistakes we make and live with forever
